Sausage Rolls

My son is a great fan of this soft and fluffy rolls and asks me to bake them once every week.
Ingredients:

  • Bread flour- 3 cups
  • Warm water- 1 cup
  • Sugar- 4 tbsp
  • Milk powder- 2 tbsp
  • Salt- 1 tsp
  • Yeast- 2 tsp
  • Egg- 1
  • Butter- 40 grams

Filling:

  • Chicken Franks- 10-12
  • White Sesame seeds- 2 tbsp
  • Egg- 1

Method:

  • Mix everything together in except butter.
  • Knead to form a dough.
  • Add in the butter and knead briefly until smooth and elastic.
  • Allow to rise for 1 hour or until double in size.
  • Punch down the air and divide the dough into 12 balls.
  • Roll the dough until it become a long elongated tube.
  • Cover the dough around the sausage and place them on a parchment paper.
  • Do the remaining and keep them to rise until double in size for 45min- 1 hr.
  • Towards the last 10 minutes of the rising time, preheat the oven to 180 degreeC for 10 min.
  • Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle the sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 20- 25 minutes until golden and well cooked.
  • Bring out and allow to cool completely on a wire rack or you can have them hot and fresh.
