Ingredients:
- Bread flour- 3 cups
- Warm water- 1 cup
- Sugar- 4 tbsp
- Milk powder- 2 tbsp
- Salt- 1 tsp
- Yeast- 2 tsp
- Egg- 1
- Butter- 40 grams
Filling:
- Chicken Franks- 10-12
- White Sesame seeds- 2 tbsp
- Egg- 1
Method:
- Mix everything together in except butter.
- Knead to form a dough.
- Add in the butter and knead briefly until smooth and elastic.
- Allow to rise for 1 hour or until double in size.
- Punch down the air and divide the dough into 12 balls.
- Roll the dough until it become a long elongated tube.
- Cover the dough around the sausage and place them on a parchment paper.
- Do the remaining and keep them to rise until double in size for 45min- 1 hr.
- Towards the last 10 minutes of the rising time, preheat the oven to 180 degreeC for 10 min.
- Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle the sesame seeds.
- Bake for 20- 25 minutes until golden and well cooked.
- Bring out and allow to cool completely on a wire rack or you can have them hot and fresh.
These sausage rolls make for a great lunch or dinner when you are on the run. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
